The Role
As a Product Analyst, you will act as the crucial link between technical and business teams, ensuring the product roadmap is data-driven, customer-centric, and aligned with strategic objectives. Drawing on your technical expertise, you will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, define product specifications, and oversee the development of impactful features. Additionally, you will evaluate post-launch performance to drive continuous improvements and optimise user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Development Insight: Collaborate with product managers and development teams to ensure product requirements are feasible, clearly defined, and aligned with the technical architecture.
- Requirement Gathering: Work with stakeholders, customers, and internal teams to gather and translate business and technical requirements into actionable product specifications.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Use data analytics, user feedback, and market trends to inform product strategies and enhance the product roadmap.
- Feature Prioritisation: Evaluate and prioritise features based on customer needs, technical feasibility, and business goals.
- Technical Documentation: Develop detailed product documentation to support technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- User Stories & Acceptance Criteria: Create clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
- Collaboration with Engineering: Liaise with development teams to clarify technical requirements and ensure smooth feature delivery.
- Post-Launch Monitoring: Analyse product performance and user engagement, incorporating feedback to refine and optimise the product.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancement and innovation based on user data and performance metrics.
Skills and Expertise
Essential:
- Technical Expertise: Background in software development or engineering, with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies, REST APIs, and cloud platforms.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and inform product strategies.
- Requirement Gathering: Experience translating business needs into technical requirements in a cross-functional environment.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to identify challenges and drive effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in creating documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaboration: Experience working with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to achieve product goals.
Desirable:
- Experience in the SaaS industry or with cloud-based solutions.
- Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of user experience (UX) principles and best practices.
