Principal Front-end Engineer – Hybrid (Belfast)

About the Role:
As a Principal Front-end Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development of one of their platforms. This role requires strong experience in React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and ideally some experience in Azure.
This role is hands-on and requires excellent problem-solving skills, a passion for quality, and experience working in agile teams. If you enjoy taking ownership of technical solutions and driving innovation in a collaborative environment, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of complex, high-performance systems using React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
- Work with Azure cloud technologies to optimize and scale the platform’s architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the system architecture aligns with business needs and technical goals.
- Ensure responsive, high-quality applications that perform well across various browsers and devices.
- Continuously improve the development process through code reviews, technical leadership, and knowledge sharing.
Essential Skills:
- Strong experience with React 16/17+, TypeScript 4/5+, and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with GraphQL and cloud platforms, ideally Azure.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest and code quality tools like SonarQube.
- Familiarity with Git for version control and working in an Agile/Scrum
