Location - Belfast, Northern Ireland

Salary: £70-80K 

My client, a leading software company based in Belfast, is seeking to appoint an experienced and seasoned Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations and support the continued growth over a sustained period.

The Role

Here’s what you’ll be diving into:

The Financial Controller is responsible in managing all financial activities, ensuring accuracy in reporting, budgeting, and compliance.

Reporting to the CFO, you’ll work closely with senior management to drive financial performance and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. 
  •  Prepare and present financial statements and performance reports. 
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and manage audits. 
  •  Analyse and optimise costs to enhance profitability. 
  •  Lead and develop the finance team. 
  •  Provide financial insights to support business decisions.

Key Qualifications 

  • 6-7years in senior finance roles, preferably as a Financial Controller
  • Relevant accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). 
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems. 
  • Experience with software revenue recognition and SaaS
    models. 
  • Proven ability to manage and develop teams.
