Data and Analytics Senior Manager

Our client is looking for a senior manager to join their award winning data and analytics team This is an opportunity to work with top-tier institutions, helping them leverage data-driven insights to drive strategic decisions and business transformation.

The Role

As a senior manager, you will lead data-driven consulting engagements, working closely with clients to design and implement solutions that optimise data management, governance, and analytics capabilities. You will play a key role in developing client relationships, managing project delivery, and mentoring teams to drive innovation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage data and analytics projects for financial services clients, ensuring high-quality delivery.

  • Develop and implement data strategies that align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Oversee the design and deployment of data governance frameworks, data quality solutions, and analytics platforms.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to improve decision-making and operational performance.

  • Lead cross-functional teams, providing mentorship and technical guidance.

  • Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposals.

What Background do you need to succeed?

  • Professional Experience

    • Financial Services Industry - Experience working with banks, investment firms, or insurance companies, understanding their data challenges, regulatory requirements, and business operations.

    • Consulting or Professional Services - A background in a consulting firm or a similar client-facing role, managing multiple stakeholders and delivering data-driven solutions.

    • Leadership and Project Management - Experience leading teams, managing projects end-to-end, and working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

    • Data and Analytics Expertise - Strong background in data governance, data management, analytics, and business intelligence, with hands-on experience implementing these solutions.

    Technical Skills

    • Data Architecture and Cloud Platforms - Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP, as well as modern data architectures like data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL pipelines.

    • Data Governance and Compliance - Knowledge of frameworks like BCBS 239, GDPR, and other financial regulations affecting data.

    • Analytics and Reporting - Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, as well as knowledge of SQL and Python for data analysis.

    Soft Skills

    • Strategic Thinking - Ability to translate complex data challenges into business value and drive strategic decision-making.

    • Stakeholder Management - Strong communication skills to engage with executives, business teams, and technical teams effectively.
